Beads between ocean colors and patina

My experimenting with papier-maché has reached a new level. I think I found a usable recipe. I left out the plaster and added either sawdust or ground egg shells instead (still can’t believe that tons of amazing material can be found in the trash ;-)). And for smoothing I used a paste of flour, starch and water. There is only one disadvantage: without plaster or joint compound paper maché takes longer to dry. Beads about 2 – 3 days, bracelets about 4 – 5 days.

Here I used green egg cartons and painted the beads with acrylic paint, coffee and varnish.
